Read the Tag
Find one article of clothing you are wearing that has a tag. Answer the following questions about by looking for the information on the tag. Often, you will find English writing on clothing tags.

Where was the piece of clothing made?

What type of material or fiber is the clothing made from?

Is this fiber natural or synthetic?

Is there more than one type of fiber in your piece of clothing? If yes, what percent of each fiber is it?
For example, you might have a shirt that is 80 percent cotton and 20 percent polyester. This shirt would be made of both natural and synthetic fibers. Remember that the two percentages will always add up to 100.

What is a system?

What does the digestive system do?

Can you name the parts of the digestive system?

Can you explain how food travels through the body?

What are nutrients?

Here is a worksheet you can download. Click here. Label all parts in the diagram from the words at the bottom of the page.

Let's do a word search to practice the parts of the digestive system in English.

Click here for another one, different from the one you did in class.

Did you find all the words?

Good job working with the human digestive system.

Farmer in the Dell
Who wants to learn a song?

Let's learn a traditional English nursery rhyme. This one is about farm animals.

It is called Farmer in the Dell. Everybody hold hands and make a circle.

One student stands in the center of the circle and will pick another student to join him/her as we sing and walk around the circle.

Listen to the song we learned here.

Hi-ho, the derry-o

And the farmer takes a wife

He wears yellow shorts

We practice many skills to learn English. We listen, speak, and write.

Listen to the sentences that the teacher says. Say them yourself. Write the sentence in your notebook.

We are learning about clothing, so let's describe what Tom and Sue are wearing.

Tom wears yellow shorts and green shoes.
He wears a white t-shirt and a blue cap.
Sue wears a pink dress and a violet jacket.
She wears blue shoes and a red scarf.
